New Agency to Provide Advertising, Creative, Media and Strategic Planning Services
WILBRAHAM, Mass (January 2, 2008) - - Friendly's Restaurants, a restaurant company serving signature sandwiches, entrees and ice cream desserts in a friendly, family environment for over 70 years, announced today that it has awarded Zimmerman Advertising of Fort Lauderdale, Florida as its advertising agency of record following an extensive search.
Zimmerman Advertising, an Omnicom Group company, is currently the 15th largest advertising agency in the United States, with more than 1,000 full-time associates and offices throughout the country, including New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco and Atlanta.
Friendly's began a comprehensive agency review for the $25 million account in October utilizing Pile and Company Consulting of Boston, Massachusetts. There were a total of five agencies initially considered and three outstanding finalists, with Zimmerman awarded the account.

The agency's responsibilities will include strategic planning, creative, media and production services.
