FRIENDLY'S INTRODUCES NEW FAMILY FAVORITES MENU; NEW ENTREES AND CLASSIC SUNDAES WILL BRIGHTEN UP WINTRY DAYS

WILBRAHAM, Mass. (January 4, 2005) - Old Man Winter may be here, but no matter how low the temperature goes, adults and kids of all ages can warm up with Friendly's new Family Favorites menu.

Between now and February 27, guests can enjoy an unbeatable combination: family-friendly entrees topped off with a free Happy-Ending® Sundae made with Hunka Chunka PB Fudge or one of Friendly's other sensational ice cream flavors.

The Family Favorites menu offers delicious choices for any appetite. Included are three new entrees created especially for this menu:

Grilled Teriyaki Chicken, two sweet and tangy grilled chicken breasts topped with pineapple and served with rice pilaf, mixed vegetables, and grilled garlic bread;

Cajun Shrimp Basket, a half pound of spicy fried shrimp served with golden fries, a heaping portion of cole slaw, our special Cajun tartar sauce for dipping and a lemon wedge;

Cheddar Jack Chicken, two grilled chicken breasts, smothered with hickory-smoked bacon, tomatoes, and melted Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses and served with rice pilaf, garden vegetables, and grilled garlic bread.

Also featured among the Family Favorites are Friendly's down home Country Fried Chicken, and Friendly's famous crispy New England Fish 'N Chips.

Hunka Chunka PB Fudge, one of Friendly's all-time favorites, is back and fans can even take home a hand-packed pint of this extra special flavor.

"Hunka Chunka PB Fudge is one of our most popular flavors. Since last summer, people have asked when they'd be able to get it again. This is an opportunity to satisfy those cravings," said Larry Rusinko, Friendly's senior vice president of marketing.

"The bustle of the holidays may be over, but Friendly's Family Favorites offer a great way for our guests to make any day of the week special for themselves and their families," he added. "This is a menu designed to brighten up the bleakest winter day. And with so much variety, our Family Favorites make a perfect lunch break or a delicious dinner."

The prices for the new menu are also family friendly, ranging from $8.49 to $9.99, with a free Sundae included.
