FRIENDLY'S OPENS IN COPIAGUE, NEW YORK Friendly's Begins Scooping Up Favorites on Montauk Highway WILBRAHAM, MA (March 9, 2004) - - Friendly Ice Cream Corporation (AMEX:FRN) announces the opening of a new franchised restaurant in Copiague, New York. The restaurant located at 960 Montauk Highway, opened Monday, March 8, 2004. The new restaurant is owned and operated by J&B Restaurant Partners of Long Island, LLC, Inc. of Ronkonkoma. A Friendly's franchisee since April 2001, J&B Restaurant Partners of Long Island, LLC currently owns and operates 33 restaurants and is scheduled to open 27more by the end of 2013. From the cream and natural brick exterior to the ice cream colors and soda fountain counter inside, the restaurant evokes the heritage that has made Friendly's a family favorite for decades. Guests visiting the restaurant can choose from a wide variety of products - from old-time favorites, like Big Beef Hamburgers, Fribbles and Jim Dandy's, to new and exciting items such as, The Philly Steak 'n' Cheese SuperMelt or The Buffalo Chicken Wrapper. Also available for a limited time, Forbidden Fudge Brownie ice cream, a delicious combination of Forbidden Chocolate Ice Cream, brownie and chocolate chunks and a swirl of delicious fudge. Joe Sabbatino, District Manager, and Felix Navarro, General Manager, welcomed guests to their new 85-seat restaurant. The restaurant is open from 8am to 11pm Sunday through Thursday and 7am to 12am on Friday and Saturday.
